17 March 2026: Voro Therapeutics announced research collaboration with Daiichi Sankyo to advance PrimeBody™ technology for next-generation tumor-activated ADCs
Voro Therapeutics has entered a strategic research collaboration with Daiichi Sankyo, aiming to push the boundaries of next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) through its innovative PrimeBody™ platform
This partnership is rooted in a shared ambition to overcome one of the biggest challenges in ADC development improving the therapeutic index by ensuring potent drugs act precisely where they are needed while sparing healthy tissues
To achieve this, Voro’s PrimeBody technology introduces a sophisticated “masking” approach, keeping ADCs inactive in circulation and normal tissues, and only activating them selectively within the tumor microenvironment via protease-cleavable mechanisms
Building on this concept, the collaboration will focus on designing tumor-activated ADC candidates against a selected oncology target, potentially unlocking previously inaccessible targets that were considered too widely expressed for safe therapeutic use
As the partnership progresses, it brings together Voro’s expertise in tumor-activated biologics and Daiichi Sankyo’s leadership in ADC innovation setting the stage for a new class of highly precise, safer cancer therapies
