02 July 2026: Glenmark advances phase 3 trial of Trastuzumab rezetecan in platinum-resistant Ovarian cancer
Glenmark has advanced the multi-country phase 3 clinical trial of SHR-A1811, a HER2-targeted antibody-drug conjugate, for patients with HER2-expressing platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, with India becoming the first of Glenmark’s licensed markets to initiate patient enrollment following DCGI approval
The randomized, controlled, multicenter phase 3 study – aligned with Jiangsu Hengrui Pharma’s ongoing parent phase 3 trial in China – will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of SHR-A1811 across multiple countries, with additional patient enrollment planned in Australia and South Korea, subject to regulatory approvals
The global expansion addresses a significant unmet need in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, where resistance to platinum-based chemotherapy leaves patients with limited treatment options and poor clinical outcomes, while generating evidence across diverse patient populations to support future regulatory submissions
Trastuzumab rezetecan is a first-in-class HER2-targeted ADC developed by Jiangsu Hengrui Pharma and licensed to Glenmark across multiple international markets. The ADC is designed to selectively target HER2-overexpressing tumors and is being developed across multiple HER2-driven malignancies
Strategically, the multinational phase 3 expansion marks a key milestone in Glenmark’s transition toward innovative oncology therapeutics, strengthening its global ADC portfolio while accelerating the clinical development of Trastuzumab rezetecan across its licensed territories and reinforcing its commitment to addressing hard-to-treat cancers
