20 August 2026: Akiram Therapeutics and ITM signed a Lu-177 supply agreement to support AKIR001 development in Solid tumors
Akiram Therapeutics and ITM Isotope Technologies Munich have signed an agreement for the supply of non-carrier-added Lutetium-177 to support the clinical development of AKIR001, a targeted antibody-radionuclide conjugate being evaluated for CD44v6-expressing solid tumors
Under the agreement, ITM will provide n.c.a. Lu-177 for Akiram’s ongoing studyof AKIR001, securing a reliable supply of the therapeutic radioisotope that serves as the active payload of the candidate; financial and other commercial terms were not disclosed
The agreement supports the development of a targeted radiotherapy approach for patients with advanced solid tumors, including lung, head and neck, thyroid, and gynecological cancers, where CD44v6 is associated with several aggressive tumor types
AKIR001 is a targeted antibody-radionuclide conjugate combining the therapeutic radioisotope n.c.a. Lu-177 with a proprietary antibody targeting CD44v6, designed to selectively deliver radiation to tumor cells while limiting exposure to healthy tissue
Strategically, the supply agreement strengthens the development infrastructure for AKIR001 by securing access to a critical radioisotope and highlights ITM’s role as a supplier supporting the advancement of emerging targeted radiopharmaceutical programs
