01 October 2026: Dong-A ST and Galux entered a research collaboration to develop AI-designed antibodies for ADC therapeutics

  • Dong-A ST and Galux announced a research collaboration to develop novel ADC candidates against an undisclosed novel target for which there are currently no approved therapies, combining Dong-A ST’s ADC development capabilities with Galux’s AI-powered antibody design platform
  • Under the collaboration, Galux will use its GaluxDesign platform to de novo design antibody candidates optimized for ADC development, while Dong-A ST will assess their ADC applicability using its linker-payload and ADC development technologies, with selected candidates eligible for further development
  • The collaboration aims to address the limited therapeutic options associated with the novel target by determining whether it can be successfully exploited for ADC development and by generating differentiated antibody candidates with suitable target-recognition properties
  • GaluxDesign uses AI-driven de novo protein design to incorporate the structural and functional characteristics of target proteins when generating antibodies, while Dong-A ST contributes ADC engineering expertise, including linker-payload development, to evaluate and advance the resulting candidates
  • Strategically, the partnership extends Galux’s AI antibody design platform into the ADC modality and provides Dong-A ST with access to de novo-designed antibodies against a previously untapped target, with both companies aiming to advance differentiated candidates toward best-in-class therapeutics
