04 November 2026: Sino Biopharmaceutical enters strategic oncology partnership with Boehringer Ingelheim valued at up to US$7 billion
Sino Biopharmaceutical entered its second oncology collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim, covering six preclinical programmes across ADCs and TCEs, sourced from its subsidiaries LaNova Medicines (five) and Beijing Tide (one)
Sino will lead development through completion of global Phase 1 trials, after which Boehringer Ingelheim can exercise options to secure exclusive global development and commercialization rights, with certain geographic exclusions for four programmes
The agreement includes US$358 million in upfront and near-term payments, up to US$7 billion in potential milestone payments, and tiered royalties reaching double digits
The deal highlights continued pharma interest in early-stage ADC and TCE assets, while giving Sino access to substantial milestone-based returns and providing Boehringer Ingelheim with options to expand its global oncology pipeline
